Antipolo City's farthest barangay gets medical mission

Residents of sitio San Ysiro in Antipolo City received medical assistance through the collaboration of CEMEX Philippines Foundation, Solid Cement and the local government of Antipolo City.

"San Ysiro, being nearly inaccessible, really needs all the help it can get from the government and from private sectors, and I am deeply pleased that even in places too far for comfort, CEMEX Philippines willingly extends help," intimated Antipolo Mayor Angelito Gatlabayan.

"The tremendous difficulty in getting to San Ysiro faded away when we saw the underprivileged residents of the sitio, walking through the rugged terrain, even some without slippers, and lining up to get much needed medical assistance," Corporate Communications Manager Erlinda Lizardo said.

Aside from the free medicine and medical consultation that the residents received from the team of CEMEX Philippines and the local government, grocery items were also distributed, which made the people extremely happy.
